• 6th Science: Metric Mania Mass notes & lab. No HW

Several students still need to turn in their $3 to help pay for the cost of some of the computer programs we use in 6th grade, e.g. glogster, voicethread, and edhelper.

Also, the Living History festival is coming up in October and parents are needed to chaperone groups of students. If you haven't been cleared through the school but are interested in doing so, just go to the Administrative Office to get the paper and pay $10.  It takes a few weeks to complete the process.  If you have been cleared AND have volunteered in the last year or so, you should still be on the school list.  If you are in doubt, feel free to call us and we'll check the list.

Dance is tonight from 7:00-9:30 p.m. and cost is $3.  Dance, dance, dance!

Thursday, August 23rd

• 6th Com Arts: no hw
• 6th Reading: Went to the library for Genre Notes and to check out books. We ran short on time so students may check out books during 0 Seminar, 4th hour unless they have band, or 8th hour.
• 6th Math: 3 questions
• 6th Soc. Studies: no hw
• 6th Science: Assembled IAN. HW: Bring parent signature from syllabus back by tomorrow, 8-24.

The first dance is tomorrow, August 24th from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  The cost is $3 at the door. Dress is casual/school-appropriate.  Students cannot leave early unless a parent/caregiver makes direct contact with a teacher or Mr. Jensen. 

Please make sure your child brings all school supplies that were requested.  Also, several form should be turned back in to the school if they haven't been already.

Today was a wonderful first day!

We sent home letters about the ZAP program.  Please put your child's name on it, sign it, and return it with your child to school.

School pictures are Thursday, August 23. Picture packets are in the office.  All students will have their pictures taken since we use the pictures for student i.d. cards.

Just a reminder that students can bring snacks to 3rd and 8th hour and clear water to all core classes.

Some students still need to bring clorox or germ-x, tissues, and paper towels.
