They need be thinking what can be changed in each chamber (ecosystem) and how it will effect the environment. They need to make sure they have only 1 variable per chamber and that it is measurable. I collected a rough idea from each group today.

6-2, 6-3, 6-4 No HW - Field Study Day tomorrow. A checklist went home today. It is listed below, just in case it doesn't make it home :)
Field Study Reminders
The Science Field Study Day is tomorrow, Friday, April 12th. We will leave the school at 8:30 and leave the Hartell Conservation area around 2:30 to return to school. Here are some reminders to help make sure our day is a successful educational experience.
o Dress for the weather. It looks like it will be cool so I recommend layers. (gloves for the morning is probably a good idea)
o Wear old clothes that can get dirty. No sandals or flip flops. (you can bring an extra pair of shoes for when you return to school)
o **DON’T FORGET YOUR LUNCH!
o Bring a towel or blanket to sit on for lunch.
o Sunblock or insect repellant if you have it.
o **BLUE SCIENCE JOURNAL AND A PENCIL! We will be collecting A LOT of data. This is very important to have.
o A string bag or small backpack to carry your pencil, science journal, etc.
o AN EXTRA BOTTLE OF WATER – we will be outside ALL day. You may get thirsty.
o If you have binoculars or small animal identification books you want to bring it is fine. (I will have some also)
o You may bring a camera, but it is your responsibility to take care of it.

FISHING FIELD TRIP PERMISSION SLIPS ARE DUE TOMORROW 4/3 (one can be printed off of edmodo HW page if it is lost)
6th Com Arts: List 33 Spelling w.s. due MONDAY 4/8
Being and Linking Verbs pg. 130 #8-19
6th Reading: No HW (if you didn't have your vocab finished, it is due tomorrow)
6th Math: 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 worksheet pg 66
6-1 correct worksheet.
6th Soc. Studies: Test over Ancient Romans will be Friday 4-5
6th Science: No HW
We will be needing empty, clear 2 liter bottles for an upcoming science investigation. Please send any you may have. I've asked the students to remove the labels and rinse them out before bringing them.
We also need ice cube trays for the field study trip next Friday. If you have any you no longer use, we would greatly appreciate them. We would also like to borrow a fish scale for that day. If you are planning to attend and have binoculars that you can bring to share it would be helpful. Thank you for your help and support.
