Quarter 2/Semester 1 grade cards were sent home today.

Spelling Bee is Feb. 5th. Students who want to participate need to sign up with Mrs. Daniels by Feb. 25th.  She will give them a word list to study.

Information about Dental Smiles went home today.

6th Reading:

Students have RAPS template for how to answer text-based questions for their outside reading book.  This isn't homework yet, but they should be thinking about what the perspective of the author about the topic of the book they are currently reading.
I am giving students time to read a novel in class. Some students have joined an edmodo group with their Literature Circle so they can discuss the book together electronically.  I am in the process of getting all the students set up in a group.  That will make reading our books more meaningful!
