For Black Storm Comin' readers: I've downloaded the vocab using an older version of MS Word so you can access the document on school computers. We've found some errors as far as page numbers go, but we'll work those out as we find them. :)

For Black Storm Comin' readers in 6-2,6-3,6-4: I collected Chapters 1 and 2 work (Sticky Notes, SVQ, Thick Questions, and Vocab). I will collect Ch. 3 and 4 on Jan. 31. We will work on this during class, but it looks like most of you are already "in the groove" and know the routine we'll use for each chapter.

For Bunnicula readers in 6-2 and 6-3: I collected Vocab for chapters 1 and 2. Remember to copy the sentence in which the word appears in book AND write a synonym for the word. We will have a quiz over chapters 1 and 2 on Tuesday, so you will be discussing them on Monday. I will collect Vocab for Chapters 3 and 4 on Thursday, Jan. 31.

For Behind the Mountain readers in 6-2 and 6-4: I collected Journal Entries 1 and 2 for 6-2 and I will get 6-4's on Monday. Entries 3 and 4 will be due Thursday, Jan. 31.

For 6-1 Bunnicula readers: Mrs. DeConink's group is thinking about making a board game for the book. Mrs. Quinn's is working hard on vocabulary.  For 6-1 Black Storm Comin' readers: Mrs. Brown's group is working on vocabulary in context: writing the word as it appears in the book and synonyms. We will finish vocab for Chapters 1 and 2 by the end of Monday. Today, we learned about RAPS (Restate/Answer/Provide Specific Text Details/Sum it Up) to answer questions. There is a question on the back of your Reading Log and they are both due Thursday, Jan. 31st.
